We Need You and Your Letters

MONDAY, AUGUST 23rd in Union Square, New York City
Recently, you may have received a letter from Assemblywoman
Deborah Glick regarding your support of the Naturopathic Medicine
Licensing Bill. The Assemblywoman refused to even allow our bill to
come up for a vote in her committee, which is one of the last hurdles
to have our bill passed.
An opportunity just came up to meet with Assemblywoman Glick. We need
to persuade her that naturopathic medicine is effective and needed in
New York State.
So, Dr Pina and I are asking:
1- To please email me and share your
story about natural medicine and how it helped you. It can be
very short. Please include your name and address.
and if possible
2- RSVP and meet with me at 11:25 sharp on Monday,
August 23rd at my office at 130 Fifth Avenue, 9th floor, and we
will take a short walk to visit Deborah Glick's office. If you cannot
make it, you can call (212) 674-5153 that day and express your
desire that the Assemblymember support licensing of the naturopathic
medicine bill.
The concerns about the safety and effectiveness have been asked and
answered repeatedly over the years. Naturopathic Physicians have been
licensed in Connecticut for over 70 years, safely and effectively and
the whole West Coast is licensed as well.
The real issue is about choice and fear.
Will you get to choose a licensed naturopathic physician for your
care in New York State, or will you be denied that choice? Will
legislators let go of their fear of the NY medical society and make
the best choice for patient health?
