Victoria A. Liotta, MS, LAc, LMT, is an NCCAOM Diplomate of Acupuncture and NY State Licensed Acupuncturist, as well as a NY State Licensed Massage Therapist. As a student of both Western and Eastern sciences, Victoria holds a BA from Villanova University, where she studied Electrical Engineering and Communications prior to earning her MS in Acupuncture from New York College of Health Professions. She is currently working towards her Doctorate in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Chinese Medicine.

Victoria's goal as a health care practitioner has been to utilize her knowledge and skills to help those with challenging health conditions, but her philosophy is simple; "take care of yourself now."

Being both an acupuncturist and massage therapist, many of her patients present with pain and the need for rehabilitation. She also treats people with autoimmune diseases and those who are in need of care after receiving chemotherapy or radiation. In addition, Victoria has experience in the specialties of psychological/emotional health and neurology. For example, she frequently treats people with anxiety and depression and has helped patients recover from the pain associated with herpes zoster (shingles). Although her interests pertain to the mentioned specialties, she starts each day open to treating any condition that she is presented with. Victoria treats children and adults of all ages with the utmost respect, care and commitment to improve their wellbeing.

Originally, complimentary medicine was a hobby for Victoria. While living in Atlanta in the 1990's, she stumbled upon an herbal shop and began reading books and pamphlets on nutrition, supplements and herbs. In 2002, Victoria began receiving acupuncture treatments and decided to turn her interest into a career; first with massage and then with acupuncture.

Victoria has over 15 years of combined experience in acupuncture and massage. For the last 5 years, Victoria has seen patients in clinics in Stony Brook as well as at a community acupuncture clinic in East Northport. She also has 10 years of experience as a massage therapist, specializing in medical massage, deep tissue and sports stretches. These skills, along with cupping and aromatherapy, are often incorporated into her acupuncture treatments.

In her spare time, Victoria enjoys playing drums in a local rock band.
